We have complied strict qualification measures on every raw materials. Each batch of raw material was inspected to guarantee the quality consistency.
1. Vendor Management
Qualification protocol is well implemented, provided samples should pass the QC inspection and stability test.
2. Inspection-Incoming Material
When raw materials delivered to our plant, a series of receiving procedures are addressed to ensure the quality.
3. Sampling Test
According to the GMP sampling program, a sufficient amount of sample should be taken batch by batch for the quality control test.
4. Release and Storage
After passing the material inspection, released materials are stored in the controlled area of the warehouse.

The National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (NPRA) of Malaysia accepted WHO GMP certificate issued by the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Agency (APHIA) of Taiwan.
Since the company was founded in 2016, Vetnostrum is not only focused on product sales in domestic but also cooperated with foreign partners for registration of animal drugs and supplements.
In 2019, Vetnostrum has established its own injectable production line. In response to meet the increasingly strict GMP requirements in Southeast Asia countries, Vetnostrum entrusted the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Agency (APHIA), Ministry of Agriculture referring to WHO GMP guideline to inspect all hardware and software design, optimize product development and manufacturing, re-plan and implement validation for injectable production line. After years of effort, Vetnostrum finally acquired WHO GMP certificate issued by APHIA in November 2023.
With the injectable product registration in Malaysia, Vetnostrum submitted the WHO GMP certificate and related inspection report to National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (NPRA) of Malaysia in the end of 2023. Later in Apr 2024, the NPRA notified the acceptance of WHO GMP certificate issued by the APHIA of Taiwan.
Vetnostrum as the first and the only WHO GMP animal pharmaceutical factory in Taiwan, now is also recognized by the NPRA of Malaysia, which represents Vetnostrum’s products are in line with international GMP standards. This will help Vetnostrum accelerate product registrations abroad, greatly save time of acquiring product licenses, and successfully promote Taiwan's high-quality animal drugs to overseas markets.

Bacillus amyloliquefaciens BA-BPD1 obtained Japanese import permit
Great news! YungStrong entered Japanese market!
The main ingredient of YungStrong is Bacillus amyloliquefaciens BA-BPD1. It’s a patented strain and technology transferred from Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute and fermented by YungShin group. The Vetnostrum’s R&D team combined with pure culture fermentation platform to optimize the Ba BDP-1 ability of anti-microbial. With the YungShin’s 50 MT fermenter and WHO GMP international quality control, we are confident with the efficiency and safety of the product, and it will not contain other bacteria and toxins. Vetnostrum also received ‘Scientific and Technological Agribusiness Enterprise Elite Award,’ the highest honor granted by the Ministry of Agriculture.
Today, Japan Nutrition Co., Ltd. (JNC), a subsidiary of ITOCHU Corporation, is interested in YungStrong and already obtained the compound feed import permit in Japan. Vetnostrum and JNC will work together to promote YungStrong to the livestock industry in Japan.

Vetnostrum's green feed additive product “YungClean” is approved in Malaysia and Philippines!
Since 2018, Vetnostrum has been proactive collaborating with ASEAN partners for product registration. With unremitting effort to discuss with authority, Vetnostrum continuously acquired approval licenses in ASEAN countries recently.
In July 2023 and January 2024, Vetnostrum’s green functional feed additives “YungClean” finally approved in Malaysia and Philippines! It will be launched and distributed in Malaysia and Philippines by Vetnostrum’s partner soon!
YungClean is a 3-in-1 farm hygiene feed additive that uses biological, biochemical, and physical methods to reduce the production and discharge of odorous factors from inside out of the livestock.
With animal trials verification, YungClean has been proved that add it into the feed for 2 to 4 weeks, can effectively reduce the production and discharge of odorous factors and increase productivity in swine. This is vital and indispensable technique of green farming.

Taiwan First WHO GMP Certificated Veterinary Drug Company
Congratulations!
After Vetnostrum becoming the first veterinary drug company received the National Award of Outstanding SMEs in 2020, this year, we are the first Taiwanese company that successfully obtained certification in World Health Organization Good Manufacturing Practices (WHO GMP) from Animal and Plant Health Inspection Agency, Ministry of Agriculture.
The biggest difference between WHO GMP and GMP is 'Comprehensive verification to improve overall quality.' WHO GMP emphasizes that quality control comes from design and manufacturing instead of inspection. Thus, starting from raw materials and supplier selection must comply with international certifications and pharmacopoeias of top 10 developed countries. WHO GMP defines quality measures for both production and quality control. The key production parameters, equipment, inspection, and method validation of developed products must comply with WHO GMP guidelines to ensure stability and quality consistency within each product batches.
To meet WHO GMP requirements, started from 2020, Vetnostrum followed WHO GMP guideline to inspect all hardware and software design, optimize product development and manufacturing, re-plan and implement validation. We also provided training to employees and strengthen quality control concepts, to improved overall 6 major systems includes Production, Facilities & Equipment, Laboratory Control, Quality System, Materials, and Packing & Labeling.
As the old saying goes ‘Efforts will always pay off.’ In November 2023, Vetnostrum obtained WHO GMP issued by Animal and Plant Health Inspection Agency, Ministry of Agriculture!

Vetnostrum launches probiotic product-“Prostrum” in Indonesia.
Vetnostrum has been registering and promoting its’ veterinary probiotic products with its affiliate company: PT. Yung Shin Pharmaceutical Indonesia since 2018. After a long wait, Vetnostrum’s leading feed additive product YungStrong (named “Prostrum” in Indonesia) finally got approval license in Indonesia in June 2023. Shortly, it will come into Indonesia market soon!
Prostrum/YungStrong is a probiotic feed additive product for livestock animals. It contains patented safety strain "Bacillus amyloliquenfaciens", featured for its ability to secrete multi-enzymes and various AMPs, which can improve animals’ digestion ability and growth performance.
Vetnostrum projects to register Prostrum/YungStrong worldwide. Until now, Vetnostrum already obtained approval license in Philippines, Malaysia, and Vietnam; and it reached great sales performance in these countries. It can also be expected for great sales in new launched country Indonesia.
In future, Vetnostrum will keep expanding the market all around the world to provide best solutions for animal health and welfare.

Enzapro, a “Zymbiotic” effect direct-fed-microbial was presented in a US event, IPSF
Vetnostrum and US partner BioResource International, Inc.(abbreviated as BRI) co-developed product, Enzapro, was presented in annual significant forum poultry industry, International Poultry Scientific Forum (IPSF), which was held virtually on January 26th. Dr. Rasha Qudsieh represented for BRI to give a speech with the subject “The efficacy of combined xylanase and direct-fed-microbial in commercially-raised broilers”. In this speech, Dr. Rasha shared the trial done in India, which resulted in good performance on body weight gain and FCR improvement when supplemented 100 g/MT EnzaPro in the energy-deficient diets.

Thailand-Vet Agritech seminar for swine farmers
According to DLD, Thailand produced 22.53 million pigs in 2019 and about 3.5% of which was for export. The total output of 2020 is expected to be consistent with the previous year, but live pig exports doubled due to the impact of ASF in Thailand’s neighboring countries.
Despite of the Covid-19 outbreak, Vetnostrum’s marketing partner in Thailand, Vet Agritech Co., Ltd successfully held 2 seminars in October. Over 180 farmers and feed mill specialists attended the said events. There’re 2 guests of honor, Assistant Professor Dr. Alongkot Boonsoongner and Associate Professor Dr. Kitcha Urairong from Kasetsart University giving talks on feed formula and modern farming.
Dr. Pharkphoom Kiatchanon, Product Manager of Vet Agritech also featured the technology of Sincotim 200G, which contains Tilmicosin Phosphate（Sincotim also named as Jinplus 200G in other country). Vetnostrum takes strict quality measures of qualifying raw materials and finished product batch by batch, it also incorporates spray drying and granulation technology in its unique formulation to ensure the efficacy and consistency of the product in swine feed application, and fight against diseases during the peak season of respiratory tract infections.

Vetnostrum animal health is Taiwan-based firm dedicated to research, develop, and manufacture therapeutic veterinary medicines and functional feed additives to provide total solution for modern husbandry. Recently Vetnostrum’s Technical Manager, Dr. Fan, was interviewed by China Agricultural Wealth Magazine to talk about our featured coated acidifier, Acidofac S.
China is following the global trend “green agriculture” now, new agriculture policy related to antibiotic restriction was published this year. More and more functional feed additives are booming, acidifier is one of the most well-know AGP replacement.
“Not all acidifiers are the same, Dr. Fan said”. Acidofac S is combined with 4 selected acids which through special coating technology to make all the acids embed and disperse in lipid matrix. With the protective matrix, acids of Acidofac S could act throughout GI system without harmful to stomach but destroy pathogen in intestine; thus, less diarrhea problem, healthier swine, and happier farmers. The most important of all, Acidfoac S provides non-corrosive to equipment, safer to worker and lower inclusion rate in feed comparing to those non-coated acidifiers. Acidofac S is now marketed for over 20years, it spreads to Taiwan, China, Malaysia, Philippine, Thailand, and Indonesia currently. More and more famers realize that only chose the right product could help them make money, especially under ASF impact.

Vetnostrum animal health is Taiwan-based firm dedicated to research, develop, and manufacture therapeutic veterinary medicines and functional feed additives, recently conducted a broiler trial and result was published in China Livestock & Wildlife Magazine., 52(5), 73-80, 2020, “Effects of dietary supplementation with Bacillus amyloliquefaciens Ba-BPD1 on growth performance of broiler”. In which Vetnostrum’s proprietary product, YungStrong(Bacillus amyloliquefaciens Ba-BPD1) was incorporated in a head-to-head comparison with a benchmark comprising Bacillus subtilis.
Results from 33-days trial, conducted in National Chung Hsing University, the leading animal science institute in Taiwan, shows that supplement of YungStrong (Bacillus amyloliquefaciens Ba-BPD1) provides superior growth performance benefits than Bacillus subtilis group, by releasing anti-microbial peptides to improve microflora condition in intestine, observation also indicates significant reduction in noxious gas emissions to enhance farm hygiene.
In addition to application in poultry and swine, YungStrong is being used in aquaculture. Another findings show YungStrong can improve the water quality by decreasing emission of NH3, N4+ and NO₂⁻, leading to a healthy environment for aquatic animal.

Vetnostrum's facility expansion
As our forward-looking initiatives, Vetnostrum recently implements 4 new production lines, which includes general injectable, high-potent injectable, external liquid, and tablets. The said production lines have secured GMP certification issued by Taiwan authority, BAPHIQ in last February, and will be fully operational by April 2020.
While more and more preventive AGP application are banned in daily husbandry, due to intensive farming, animal diseases remain a great challenge to farm management, the demands for therapeutic veterinary medicine still falls on a growing trend, injectable drugs provide efficient administration and timely relief. First-hand Experiences of Acidofac S by Our Valued Customers
Mr. Ying-Jun, Lu, the humble firefly from Longguan Farm
The owner of Longguan Farm, Mr. Ying-Jun, Lu, is also the former Chairman of the Kaohsiung City Swine Association. According to his past experiences, Mr. Lu thinks that although acidifiers can indeed be effective, but he stopped using the previous acidifier after a while because it has a strong and pungent acidic smell. It was an unpleasant smell for humans, even the pigs refused to eat because of the smell. He then learned that Vetnostrum has a new type of acidifier, Acidofac S, with “coated and slow-releasing” properties, which uses a unique technology to distribute the acid evenly in the product. Acidofac S doesn’t have a pungent smell, and has slow-releasing properties in the intestine, which made Mr. Lu very interested.
Longguan Farm has been using Acidofac S for about 3 months, and Mr. Lu is very satisfied with the effect of the product. Not only does the product blend well with the feed, but also has amazing performance for pigs of different stages. In finishing pigs, the most significant effect is the improvement in body posture, and faster growth during the late stages, even being overweight when put on sale. He also observed that the sows in the farrow house eat more, so their amount of milk is more abundant, and the piglets are also stronger.

Zhongyin Farm had been a loyal customer of Acidofac S for more than 10 years. “At first, I was introduced to Acidofac S because I wanted to find a solution for swine dysentery in our farm. According to my experience, we would have to use veterinary drugs to combat swine dysentery, but we can’t possibly use veterinary drugs all the time, as there is the problem of drug resistance.” said Mr. Chen, the owner of the farm. He said the most obvious change in his farm after long-term use of Acidofac S is that the health of his pigs had significantly improved, and the pigs are less likely to get sick. His pigs also eat more and are easier to raise. Mr. Chen uses Acidofac S started from piglets.
For the prevention of swine dysentery, Mr. Chen usually uses Acidofac S for preventive purposes. If the prevention is done well, the use of veterinary drugs is not necessary, and if there is a disease outbreak, drugs can immediately be used for treatment. This way, he could effectively limit the condition to a few instead of having a whole outbreak on the farm. By having two lines of defense (Acidofac S and veterinary drugs), the disease is easier to be controlled.

Piglet: 1-2kg per ton of feed
Sow: 1-2kg per ton of feed
Pig: 1kg per ton of feed
